Izu

Izu is the name of a city and a large mountainous peninsula to the west of Tokyo on the Pacific coast of Japan.

The area's economy is centered on tourism, hot spring resorts, farming/forestry and commercial fishing. Izu is also noted for its production of wasabi and shiitake mushrooms.
